Lee has been with Norvell Fixture and Equipment for five years. He started as a part time employee while attending Augusta State University. He was responsible for order shipping, stocking the showroom, pulling smallware orders and keeping things clean. While working part time and finishing school, Lee was also attending cooking demonstrations performed by local reps to become more familiar with equipment and the industry.
Lee is now an outside sales representative with focus on both equipment and supplies. He is responsible for maintaining existing accounts and developing new accounts. He says, “I strive to provide excellent customer service by offering solutions to customers regarding saving money, selling a better product/menu, cleaning and sanitizing solutions, saving electric and labor costs and going green.” Lee enjoys working with different people every day. He says he enjoys maintaining relationships with existing customers and forming new relationships with potential customers. He also finds training end users on new equipment very rewarding. Lee welcomes the challenge that sales can bring. His philosophy is to be honest and treat people with respect.
Lee is grateful for and fully utilizes the training arsenal provided to him through SEFA and Norvell Fixture. He says, “I have gained invaluable knowledge through SEFA training that I can share with customers. I have also gained a network of experienced professionals and friends through SEFA. I learn so many different things every day in my sales position, with the help of training conferences, academy’s, and Kitchen Biz posts, I feel I stay ahead of the curve and can provide customers with solutions that fit their needs.” He says he really enjoys working with everyone at Norvell and owes a lot to his colleagues and to Will Sherrill and Bill Norvell.
We asked Lee if anyone has inspired him personally and professionally. He said, “Three men have helped me to get to where I am today and inspire me on a daily basis. My Dad set a great example of working hard and taking care of his family. He demonstrated what it takes to be successful in life. My best friend, Tim Baldwin, taught me how to live life to the fullest every day. And Bill Norvell, has given me a tremendous opportunity and mentored me as a sales professional.”
Lee lives in Savannah, Georgia with his wife Tracy and their seven month old son Reese. He enjoys the outdoors, golf, fishing and spending time with his family.
