Meeting Information- For the Coach

Coaching Sessions will be held on Thursday, October 21st.

An important meeting will be held for all Coaches on Wednesday evening, October 20th at 5:30pm at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center, followed by a reception where you will meet your Thursday Champions. After the reception, Champions will join their Coaches for dinner. Dinner should be used to encourage your Champions to review opportunities, successes, or challenges they’ve had with your line. In this way, you can address any of these things the next day.

Notice that, for your convenience, we have posted a list of nearby restaurants to the documentation available on our website. To ensure that each student will have a unique experience, please select from the restaurants listed for Wednesday evening.  If you need assistance making restaurant reservations please contact Lindsey by phone or email.  Transportation to the restaurants should be arranged by the Coaches.

On your coaching day, you will have a private room with approximately 10 – 14 Dealer salespeople from different Dealerships.  You will have 3 hours that morning to create “Champions” of your line.  Keep in mind that you are NOT SELLING them on your line; you are TRAINING them to sell your line.

After lunch, you will return to your training room while your “Champions” rotate to see 20-minute sales presentations from the other Coaches.  The “Champions” of the other lines will rotate to see your 20-minute sales presentation.  For the 20-minute presentations, we encourage you NOT to try to “shrink” your 3-hour coaching session.  Treat these presentations much as you would a dealer sales meeting, by focusing only on one or two products.  If you’ve coached with us recently, selecting a different product from last time would be a big plus for the students.

This format will allow you to not only make “Champions” of the 10 – 14 Dealer salespeople in your group, but to also present a review to all other Dealer salespeople in attendance.  When your “Champions” rotate back to you, the SEFA staff will review with them what they’ve learned.

The dress code for the Conference is business casual.
