Meeting Information- For the Dealer

Coaching sessions will be held on Thursday, October 21st.  Featured Product Presentations will be held on Friday, October 22nd.  In-Depth Training will be held on Saturday, October 23rd ending at 12:25 pm.  All sessions will be held at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL.

NEW: Wednesday at 4:00 pm, all attendees will meet to review schedule changes to format and SEFA Pro levels.  Don’t miss this critical meeting!

Registration for the Conference will start at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 20th at Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center and will be followed by a brief meeting and reception where you will meet your Thursday team. After the reception, teams will join their Coaches for dinner. Dinner should be used to review opportunities, successes, or challenges you’ve had with the line you are championing. In this way, your Coach can prepare to address these challenges the next day. Similarly, you will have dinner with your Saturday In-Depth Training team after a brief meeting and reception on Friday night.

On both, the Coaching day and the In-Depth Training day, you will be on a team with approximately 10 — 14 dealer salespeople from different dealerships. You will be trained for 3 hours on Thursday and 1 1/2 hours on Saturday morning to become “Champions” of the lines you select. After each training session, you will gather with your team and rotate to view 20-minute presentations by the other coaches and trainers. This format will allow you to not only become a “Champion” of the lines you train with, but also learn about other lines. On Thursday, when you rotate back to your original Coaching room, the SEFA staff will be there to review what you’ve learned with you and your team. We expect comments from each Champion.

When you register, please select your 3 top Supplier choices for the Thursday Coaching session and your 3 top Supplier choices for the Saturday In-Depth Training session. You can use the product information included with each Supplier selection to help determine the best line for you to champion. Only one salesperson from each Dealership will be selected to train with a particular Supplier. Make sure to include the date you will do a sales presentation at your Dealership for the line you Champion during your 3 hour Coaching session on Thursday. Champion Reviews must be completed and submitted NO LATER THAN Wednesday, December 8. You are NOT required to hold a presentation at your Dealership for your In-Depth Training line.

Featured Product Presentations will be held on Friday, October 22nd.  You will rotate as a group with the other attendees from your company or we will group you with other Dealer salespeople in order to keep the group sizes consistent. You will meet with 17 suppliers, rotating every 25 minutes.

When registering, you and anyone else attending from your dealership should select 10 top Supplier choices for the Featured Product Presentations. The other 7 selections will be assigned by the SEFA office to ensure equal support for all Suppliers. You and anyone else attending from your Dealership should make these selections as a group. The group will rotate together.

In-Depth Product Training will end at 12:25 pm on Saturday, October 23rd marking the end of the Conference.  SEFA supports the Suppliers who commit time, money and expertise training to our DSR’s.  All attendees attend the full session and do NOT depart the hotel until 12:30 pm.

The dress code for the Conference is business casual. You will be doing a lot of walking when you rotate to the Coaching and In-Depth Training rooms so we advise you to wear comfortable shoes.

SEFA Pro points are awarded AFTER the conference is completed in full, without missing any sessions and the follow-up sales meeting on the “Championed” line has been held with paperwork submitted.  This information is due in the SEFA office no later than December 8th.

Cancellation Fee Notice:
Registrations canceled two weeks or less prior to the start of the meeting will be charged a $200 processing fee.
